Uche Sparks Comfortable Crystal Palace Victory at Shelbourne.

Even though entering their maiden European campaign, Crystal Palace are learning at a rapid pace. Missing star figures like striker Jean-Philippe Mateta and wing-back Daniel Muñoz, the Eagles left Dublin with a comfortable win that all but guarantees them a place in the Europa Conference League playoffs.

A further three points in their next fixture against Finnish KuPS should be enough to seal straight passage to the knockout stages, particularly following a previous setback against Strasbourg.

Squad Members Seize the Moment

This match offered a chance for several Palace's lesser-used talent to impress. Christantus Uche, in only his second beginning after joining on loan from Getafe, opened the account with a well-taken goal. Striker Eddie Nketiah added a another, scoring for the second game in match.

The only worry for Palace was a second-half injury to Justin Devenny, who was forced off. This allowed 17-year-old striker Benji Casey to earn his first-team debut, rounding off an otherwise positive evening for the traveling side.
